AARCS - Bowser

The many situations that dogs who are rescued from by AARCS come from are truly heartbreaking.  This is especially the case with Bowser.  This dog is so sweet and truly deserves a loving home. He touched my heart and I hope he quickly find a home to bring out the best in him and make him feel safe. In the meantime, he is with the best foster parents possible.  Hello! My name is Bowser. I’m an extra large guy with a heart to match. When rescuers came to find me I had a leash embedded around my neck and was tied up outside. The vet carefully cut the leash off of me and I have never felt so good. I then made the trek into Calgary to start a whole new life.

I was pretty shut down when I first got here. Didn’t really know what was happening. My foster parents tried to get me in their house for 2 hours. I had never been in a house before and didn’t want to get in trouble. Once I realized I was allowed in, I never looked back. I love snuggling and just hanging out. I get along great with all the resident dogs and the cat. I wouldn’t mind being in a house with other animals or just by myself. As long as I get lots of love from my family I will be happy forever.

My foster mom always tells me how great I am on the leash. I don’t get why she is so impressed…it’s not rocket science. I do tend to get a little stressed on car rides but I am working on that. I like to play with my foster parents but don’t quite know how to play with the other dogs here. They just seem to jump around in circles….I would rather lay and get a belly rub!
