Clan McLenahan
I have known these most lovely families for quite some time. In fact, Steve and Lisa were neighbours of mine years ago! I knew their boys when they were little, and was privileged to meet the rest of the family over the years as well. We had done family photos a decade ago, so it was super cool to be asked to capture the updated version! It is so amazing to see how families grow and change and I was touched at how personable and lovely they ALL were to hang out with. Always a pleasure, always a treat to spend time with this group. Here are just a few of our faves from that day.

Cass Trahan
I love it when I get an actor who is so laid back to work with. Cass was focused and fun and took direction incredibly well. He needed some good general shots to launch him in a new direction in his acting career and it was a fun afternoon creating them! Here are the final picks:

I have had the most fabulous time today! I ordered a few of my Rufus tote bags from my Society 6 store ( http://ift.tt/1x58NyR ) with the intention of over painting them to make each one unique. And OMG do I love how they are coming out! The hand embellishment is not only making each one completely unique, but the pop of colour over top of their beautifully printed image is SO MUCH FUN! If you love cows, check out these photos of Rufus. If you want to order one (and quantities are VERY limited-only two of each size!), go to my website link here: http://ift.tt/1wPIQZM.

Puppy love!!!! I got to spend some time with two of the rescues from Milk River. The lovely Doris has already found her furever home - (I'll share her photos in the next post), but Rita has just gone up for adoption. She is such a gentle, lovely soul and will make an AMAZING dog for a lucky person or family. You can see her profile on the AARCS site here: http://ift.tt/1A1wVr0

Maury is an incredibly talented gentleman that I met a few months ago. A violinist and teacher, he is also emerging as an actor, so we created shots for him that would work for both areas. When we were working on the shots with his violin, I shyly asked if he would play a song for me. What a gift! I had chills and was temporarily transported by the beauty of his playing. I have never had the gift of music myself, and so I am transfixed when someone owns the music like Maury did. Meeting incredible people like this is just one reason that I love being a photographer. :) Thanks Maury!
One of the many sessions I am just getting around to posting is the Jackson family. I had the pleasure of meeting them last summer for the first time and they were so completely lovely! The session was to celebrate Landon's graduation from University and I was so honoured that I got to be a part of this evolution. It was a beautiful day and the foliage was so lush. It made me feel like I was in the middle of B.C. somewhere! Here are just a few of the wonderful shots we took that day.

Upper Island Retriever Club
Here are some more images of the amazing animals I had the pleasure of photographing last summer in Black Creek, B.C. I was a hunt test virgin and I was absolutely blown away by how much these dogs love to work. Their flowing coats and expressions of joy feed my soul and I love love love photographing dogs at work/play! These are some faves of mine...enjoy!

Nicole Furlan
Well howdy all! it has been an INSANELY long time since I had a chance to breathe, let alone post on here. Thank you to all of you who contributed to such a busy and wonderful year last year. I'm so looking forward to the next one as I move in to my 17th year in business. That seems like such a long time and yet it has flown by. So I'm going to try and catch up on some long overdue posts of some wonderful images I captured over the last few months.
Starting with Nicole! We had such a lovely day creating headshots for her to launch her career. As a bonus, I got some lovely puppy time with her brand new puppy! Here are her new headshots, as well as some fun shots that we picked out as well. Enjoy!

Break a leg Nicole - you're going to kill it out there!
